Introducing the most useless company in the uk... Collect plus

Are collect plus the most useless company in the uk?

Quite possibly.

I bought an item from someone on here and took two weeks to arrive with several txt messages telling me my item was at the collection point when it wasn't.

I then used the company to send an item I sold on ebay (giving them the benefit of the doubt from my original experince)

and guess what, They lose the bloody thing and send me this email:

Good Morning,

I am emailing from Collect Plus to advise that the parcel that you sent to ******* ******* has unfortunately gone missing and we will now need to go ahead with the claims procedure and ******* ******* will need a refund.
Attached is your claims from, please fill this out and also include proof of value of the item when returning it to the address stated on the form.

Kind regards

Tom

I now have to refund the buyer and wait upto 3 weeks for my refund (which apparently I am not "guaranteed" to get)!

Anyway collect plus, I have given you this publicity out of appreciation for all your "hardwork" :)

In which case if someone else has used them twice and they got it right, that makes them the best company ever

If you was in my boots would you not think that they were a poor company?

On the flipside, Collect+ have always been excellent for me. I've used them twice in the last 2 weeks and both times it took 2 days from the day of dropping it off at my shop to being delivered. Was stunned and pleased.

Used them in the past and it was nearer the 5 days and twice went over 5 days - but they issued me a voucher each time it was late.

This was 3 months ago, lol. Someone revived the thread.
Everyone deserves a second chance, that includes companies. No one is perfect.
But collect+ blew their second chance with me.

Totally useless company and the Tom that answers emails is condescending and blinkered. Do NOT use.

Posted an item with them on 24 June. I rang them up on July 13 because the tracking was showing it bouncing up and down the country. "Oh, it's back at the collection point because the driver couldn't find the address. We kept at the local depot until we were advised of the address location."
"Did you even try to contact to contact me?"
"No, we tried the recipient" (you only have his address... how did you try?)
Oh look, google maps, his address is right there. Street view, there's the road name too, and the building. The package looks like it's got some battle scars.
A previous time, the package took over 2 weeks to arrive because the collection point lost the package (not my usual collection point).
Use Collect + at your own risk!

A week after dispatch and Collect Plus still can't tell me where in the UK my parcel is or when it's going to be delivered, can't get through on the phone and have waited 3 days for a reply to an email asking why the tracking system hasn't updated in a week!

Totally useless - AVOID !!

DPD are my least favourite. Failed to find my house 5 days in a row (even though i seen them drive passed a few times that week looking - only one drive-past so couldnt catch them) and in the end they had to hire a taxi to deliver my package. Good that they did that in the end but terrible that it got to that stage.
