(Ipad) To use a screen protector or not? What is your opinion....

I've took the plunge and bought an Ipad.
Should I use a screen protector?
Does it make it less sensitive and are they awkward to put on?

Yes you should use one. Not noticed any impact on screen sensitivity. Mine was dead easy to put on and can e removed with no problems too. Cant remember the brand, I got it from currys with the iPad.

Yes, I would use one if I was you.
I have a Belkin one, easy peasy to put on and you wouldn't know it's on there.
The screens can scratch and mark reasonably easily, I have seen my friend ruin her screen, but she doesn't care (silly girl).

No don't bother. It's not like phones where you are going to be putting it in a pocket with change or keys. Its hard to scratch it. Just leave it as it is!

But you will probably put it in a bag or something similar, even some cases with the velcro straps will scratch the screen. Protect your investment have a case and screen protector, you will be happy that you did when you come to sell it as it will sell for more..

Haven't noticed any difference in sensitivity myself and putting it on was a doddle, just roll the film on and use something like a playing card to push the air out.

Yeah by all means buy a case. But you just don't need a screen protector.

yeah, its always worth it for something so expensive.
phonedevil are expensive but imo worth it for protecting the ipad screen.

I say no. You spend a load of money on something nice, so why try to preserve its niceness by covering in something that makes it look worse, feel worse, trap airbubbles, and that you'll become paranoid of touching the edges of lest it lift the film off the panel? Same goes for bumpers and hard cases; you've spent all that money on something because it's so thin, why nullify it by padding it with ugly plastic?

People have got to stop being so precious about their stuff. An iPad, just like a phone, camera, whatever isn't an investment, it's just a toy, so enjoy it, don't worry about any little scuff it might pick up.

I've never used a screen protector on both my iPad and iPhone 4. Both screens are still pristine and that's with iPhone in pocket with keys etc.
Are these screens not supposed to be pretty much scratch proof to a degree anyway? I wouldn't bother with protecting iPad as the chances of it rubbing alongside abrasive materials are pretty slim.

for the sake of a couple of quid i would !

Why ruin a million dollar product with a £1 plastic screen cover ?

How the hell are you going to scratch the screen ?

If your taking it out & about, buy an Otterbox Defender case for it.

I don't use one.
