I'm looking at finaly getting an iphone 4 so might sell my 3g if i can get some decent money for it, it's imaculate as i have recently fitted a new screen and back so virtually no marks.

What is the rough value of it.

And i do know i can't list it on here for 7 days before someone tells me ;-)

about £90 because of the age and you have had to fit new parts takes the value down

If the phone works 100% then probably about £150-£180

how exactly does putting new parts on an item which makes it like new deteriote it's value, the fact it is 18 months ols makes no difference, iphones hold their value well.

I know for a fact i will get double what you said so thanks for the useless input.

thanks to the 2 other people who offered their opinions, one of the seems to have dissapeared though

Because if you take a look at some of the FS threads on here then thats what they go for if not more. Face facts, they hold value very well. Where are you getting a "new" 3G from then?

they are going for about £200+ on ebay, don't know where these numbers are coming from OP
#11
Seen them go for around £230 - 260 on ebay boxed in good condition.

I've seen them go for £250 on ebay, sold mine 2 days ago for £200.

The value of an item is simply only what somebody is prepared to pay for it.....

2nd hand, refurbished, renewed call it what you will it is all subjective, and in the main down to supply and demand. If somebody believes it to be valued at below that of what YOU believe it to be valued - be it- but then you would question, why ask the original wuestion anyway, as one would clearly have a good idea of what it is they expect to yield from the disposal.

Not really a need to a debate one way or the other as it is simply a matter of personal opinion.

Absolutely - I would not pay £100 for it because you have fitted the screen. There is no guarantee that you have done it properly and whether it will last.

Someone on ebay will bid it up I am sure, it is your best bet putting it on there. Avoid selling it on here, because people want to give you peanuts.

yeah i'll put it on ebay, the guarantee i've fitted it properly is i know what i'm doing and it will be sold as 100% working, i asked the original question as i had an idea as to what they went for on ebay but i would have preferred to sell it on here, but some of the responses have made my mind up, people on here want things for next to nothing
