Iphone 3g or 3gs

Ok this is a stupid question that might annoy some of you lol.

I got the 3g on contract because its a lot cheaper. Now ive read so many sites that say get the 3gs etc for reasons such as speed etc

I can change the handset i have to the 3gs.

3gs is 45 and its free, or 30 for the 3g which i will be paying.

I dont think i will play games on the iphone. I dont take many photos. I just like the thought of the aps = sky sports centre, msn, trainline apps etc.

Is the 3g good enough for this. Am worried that ive tied my self down to a long contract when i shud have got the 3gs.

Thanks

If you got the 3G over the phone or on the internet you have 7 days to change you mind and cancel.

If you've had it longer than that, no. They won't change the handset until the current contracts over.

I just ordered it yesterday. I contact orange and they told me that i can change it but il have to send it back.

I just wanted to know if it would be worthit for the 3gs.

Go for the 3GS as it's twice as fast and has a few additional features. Had both phones side by side and performance wise you can tell the difference.

Don't you think you should have decided and perhaps asked this before placing an order?

Your absolutely right. I feel stupid for what i did. Ive wanted an iphone for a while, probably months now lol. But hadnt realised that there were 2 models available to buy until a few weeks ago. But when i ordered it, at that point i chose on price - the cheaper one.

Ok so how would the option you presented work. Sorry i might seem a little dumb here

"keep the 3g, 12months 180 extra, new iphone will come out near future upgrade then "

So il keep the 3g, pay 12 months - which is 360.. - or am i way off the ball game lol

You can up grade 3 months before the end of your contract.

I'd go for the 3GS myself. I personally wouldn't take out a 3G on a 24 month contract.

I had a 3GS which got stolen (barstewards!!) and I now have a 3G. There's definitely a big difference speed wise.

I'm actually going to sell my 3G and get another 3GS! :)

I think its 18 months before you can upgrade, I may be wrong. So if your paying 30 per month for 18 months =540

3GS 45 for 18 months = 810

Then you can upgrade to the new iphone which is out at that time.

So theres a difference of £270 just for 18 months. if you have the money go for the 3gs. main differences are the processor is faster and camera quality is a little better no much more.
