Iphone 3G S - Anyone due an upgrade on o2 through Carphone Warehouse little trick to get Iphone for £27.25 18Month Contract

Not quite a direct deal or available for everyone. Called Carphone Warehouse for an upgrade and was offered 18month sim only cash back £25 a month 200min 400txt and web bolt on and additional 50min off peak min as treat. The cash back is £400 paid in three installments every six months.

Iphone costs £440.40 on pay as you go, to this end as long as your willing to part with the £440.40 upfront over 18months stick your new contract SIM in and it will cost you spread over the 18 months £27.25 for the new Iphone. Poss £5 through quidco if buying online once the phones available, getting mine through Apple Store as they have it in stock.

I pay £30 a month for 1200m 500t + unlimited data + 32GB iPhone 3G S..

That's assuming you're willing to pay for a contract though? My contract is free so would be paying £400 for the iphone right?
#3
That's great but not everyone's gonna get that sort of deal.

If you don't mind me asking is it 18months or 24months and did you have to pay the £274.23 for the phone. If you did the price your paying is way higher over the period, only good if your a heavy talker and txter.

24mth.

30% off my line rental a month.

The phone was £96.

Works out at £650-£700 for the whole term icn the phone.

IF I downgrade to the £35 tariff at the 9th month.

which i will (so it'll be £24 a month)(

You sure about that, I have discount applied to my account (£10 off) with o2 and when i tried to downgrade my tarrif my discount was no longer applied as 02 said I agreed to an 18 month contract @ 35ppm so if i was to downgrade i will lose the discount...

Also did you use an 02 open code as i've seen a few to get these, no idea how you get them though

Anyways im not doubting you, just be careful because 02 can be sneaky at times!

I downgraded from the ~£45 per month tariff to the ~£35 per month one, and I get 30% off. O2 were more than happy to downgrade me, I just had to wait until 9 months into my contract when the cost of the phone had been paid off.

I just got lucky! I phoned O2 on Friday because the WiFi wasn't working in my work location. (The Cloud fault)

Anyway, I asked about an upgrade - the guy looked at the records and say's you bought it in August, so it wont be possible until January. He was part right. I did buy one in August - but sent it back under the 14 day rule. The current one I have was bought in February. So I ask when it would be possible to reduce down to 600 minutes and he said now..... so thats been done. I did check that my 30% discount would be applied and that was confirmed. So £24pm for me now - 4 months earlier than it should have been!

I lied, it's actually £10 for the 18 months (total, not per month!).

It's been free for the last three years but this year at upgrade they said it's not free anymore, it's £10 for the 18 months.

Still, can't argue with that!

Sweet deal!

I've been on full cash back deals for the past two years so it's basically been free, but this years they wouldn't budge on, so it's working out to £2.78 a month with unlimited web. Still pretty good deal not a heavy user so not fussed about the extra mins or txt.
