iPhone '3G' signal problem

Bought a iPhone 3G, which has been officilly unlocked by O2 and was fully restored.

However before I re-activated the phone (in iTunes) I jailbroke it with jailbreakme.com.

I have now activated with iTunes and the phone works fine apart from being unable to pick up a 3G signal. The sim card is Orange and picked up a 3G signal fine in my Blackberry.

I have upgraded the firmware which has obviously un-jailbroken the phone, but still no signal.

Works fine over 2G and wifi but this is a bit frustrating.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Have you got 3g turned on in the settings menu?

Are you in a 3G signal area?

Only other thing is try resetting the phone see if that does anything.

On the actual phone it self ?

Would the 3G settings be different for Orange, bearing it mind it was originally on O2. Shall I get the settings sent from the Orange website ?

Cheers

Yeah reset it on the actual phone, might just need switching on and off. The Internet settings will be different I would say you will have to put them in yourself. 3g settings would come Unser Internet settings.
