Just noticed on my iphone that the silver volume button on the side is misssing, don't know when this happened and it's never been dropped, anyone else had this happen to their phone and is it easy to replace?

People say it is fiddly to replace. Have a look see if your confident. I take it the warranty has expired?

Mine has a habit of coming and going but only when I want to listen using the speaker. Listening with headphones is fine. It's only a few months old so I really should take it back - but I know the day I do - it will be fine. I've found taking the headphones out and in a couple of times brings the volume control back again. Feel free to try it....

can't find a guide for the volume button on there, it's actually got a warranty for the length of the contract and has 6 months left but i'm sure they will say this is wear and tear?

Mine fell off too, luckily it was still under warranty so I took it into an Apple store and they just swapped it out for a reconditioned one.

I think I kept the button, but haven'[t got a clue where it is.

Sorry mate I thought I saw one on there. This place does a complete repair for £35 it all depends how much you want to spend or how much it bothers you I suppose
