Well I think all the work they put into something like this deserves a little something in return... because without them the iPhone wouldnt be what it is today... the dev team is the dark alex of the iPhone world :friends:

yes - you really are.

What a pathetic rant that really does show you up to be a complete tool. Well done on that.

No of course I've not 'done anything to help' - but devteam have made out it was coming soon!

well its the pains of buying in to products that just came out.

dude if you spent so much on your iphone why cheap it out and rip apps? just pay for them?

Ahh its not about that with me. I just can't get an o2 signal here... so if I want an iphone, I have to unlock. The unlock is already complete - they are just waiting for the jailbreak.

I dunno it just seems to me a bizarre move. jailbreakers find an exploit, and apple fix it, then they find another, apple fixes it, and so on, and so on.

I'm disappointed obviously - but even though I can take it back etc, I just don't understand the reasoning behind it. Devteam talk about contracts ending etc, upgrades, so you can only assume they are talking about delaying it maybe months :(

Like I said, I have a way out so it's all good I guess.

(ready to get shot down in flames by all you fruity fan-boys/girls)

what is it with this i-phone thing?

my xda ignito does, as far as i've seen, just as much if not more than the i-phone, plus it can do more than one thing at a time. it's a lot smaller yet still very useable, has fast internet, GPS, accelerometer and with a little bit of tweaking has a perfectly decent battery life. screen is better resolution than the i-phone and there is a burgeoning arena of developers who churn out loads of useful applications for it.

plus it was a lot cheaper for me than an i-phone would have been, bearing in mind i'm with o2 and have been for ages, they weren't prepared to knock anything off it when i threatened to ditch them, instead offering a good deal for the ignito.

i've had my phone for 9 months now and i'm happier with it now than i even was when i got it. i can frankly see myself upgrading and flogging the upgrade.

rant over, now i'll duck.

for me its simple - the OS and internet.

Nothing gets close to it.

to what i know jailbreaking does not allow you to get paid applications for free, it allows you to download 3rd party applications that apple has not certified and you can activate it without needing an o2 sim.

For me its that i need to use my Orange sim inside the phone as i am still on contract and cba waiting so long, besides i am disappointed with the iphone 3gs as there are not enough improvements to justify the price of the phone...i dont know why but i still want it though :(.

Wow.... I mean I bet you actually had people on your side before that post. Oh dear. oh dear.

Meanwhile back at the topic, rebelsim apparently will have a unlock solution 'very soon'
#22
The problem with using turbo sims is that i heard it takes away the 3g from the phone, which kinda beats the whole purpose imo, not sure about that though.
