i think the iphone 5 is due around September not next month

I'd still get a 4 to be honest, it'll take apple 6 months to iron out the issues with the 5 after launch

I'm not clued up with the latest iphones, I have a 2G one and was considering getting the 4 next month when my contract runs out. I know I can go reading on Google but would anyone mind quickly telling me the difference with the iphone 5 compared to 4, please?

The iPhone 4 is on sale, the iPhone 5 is not. The iPhone 5 will be faster, will probably support Near Field Communication (which is basically a new technology that'll let you use your phone as a credit card, providing your bank and the shops you visit support the tech), and it might finally have a screen that isn't tiddly.

i would wait.

No one knows when the next Iphone will be released. The best guess was last monday, but as it didn't happen then, it will most likely be announced in Apple's event in september (when the new Ipod Touch was announced last year), to coincide with the release of iOS5.

Personally I would go for the iPhone 4, the improvements are going to be minor, and a lot of the improvements will come with iOS 5 which will work on the iPhone 4.

You gonna ask the same question when the iphone 6 is on the horizon?

I would wait if I were you,
for the sake of 3 months, your going to get the latest model, all new features, and it'l probably cost you the same as now anyway.

Most of the tech sites think Apple will be releasing an iPhone 4S rather than a 5. More tweaks than a major change so I would get a 4.

One thing to think about is the length of time b4 you can update your phone again. If its two years you will have a very old phone by then.

Get the White one now, that's what I did and it's great.
New one comes out sell the White one and buy the new one.
You'll get £360 for it
Put another £150 to that and you'll have the new iPhone 5

Best of both worlds.

Good plan but that's just basically paying £150 to borrow the iPhone 4 for a few months...seems a waste

Everyone getting the iPhone on contract will have to pay at least that handset charge.

You're getting both phones for £150 and ending up with the most current smartphone out
