  i don't believe phone shops sell unlocked iphones so 100% sure it will come locked

  Ok, I just read online that all iPhones come unlocked until you insert sim card, it will then lock to that provider??? So in effect it's unlocked at first!

  Do they not accept any sim at first, but lock to the original network provider on connection to iTunes?

  Nope, i had a upgrade on Orange and first tried a o2 but didnt work.
  It only worked Orange and T-Mobile.
