I've had the Itouch for a while now and am really chuffed with everything about it. So I was due an upgrade on my phone and decided to go for the Iphone.

To be honest, I'm quite disappointed. The battery is lasting 24 hrs if I'm lucky and that is without excess use, and everything switched off that they recommend. I'm used to getting delivery reports on my messages which it doesn't do. The bluetooth won't let me connect to a headset/handsfree thingy. And the reception fluctuates so much without the phone changing position. Now wondering if I've done the right thing.

Think I was expecting something great but feel bit cheated, if you know what I mean.

Get used to charging it every night, like the rest of us!

I charge mine every night-think everyone does-if you had read up on it before buying it you would have known this-dont really see it as a problem tbh.

Its not for everyone. Most people learn to love the best features of the iPhone and the downsides of it are just dealt with.

Yes it has a crap battery, yes it is restricted like all Apple products are and yes the camera is crap. But it is still the best phone around.

If you are worrying more about the rubbish things and dont enjoy the best bits of the phone then its probably not the right phone for you.

Yeah I know I should have read up about it before I got it - big mistake.

I charge mine every night and let it die on a sunday.... Last year I went camping, turned off the wifi, the 3g and push notifications and got 3 days between charges...

The battery life is not good, compared to say a standard Nokia, but you live with that. I invested in a couple of £3 unofficial mains chargers from Amazon and have them dotted around the place - like at my girlfriends place or at work, so that it's always got a good charge.

I think my only main grumble with the iphone is the Bluetooth thing - not being able to pair with lots of other bluetooth phones/devices etc. But overall, I'm well pleased with the way it handles everything else.

Fav app at the moment is the Tesco Clubcard app - you get some funny looks at the till when you hand over your phone to scan as a clubcard...:-D

Yeah the signal is very strange. Was sitting trying to send a message just now. It had no signal. Never moved a bit, just continued typing my message out and by the time I was finished I had 5 bars. Just so hit or miss........

Just got text from O2 saying they're going to refund me 50p because some picture msgs I'd sent were not received between 15-17 feb were not delivered.

And yesterday, I couldn't receive any picture messages until 10pm and my visual voice mail displayed a message saying "unavailable/not working" or words to that effect.

I just tried to call my mobile from my landline and first got message "BT network is not available at the moment" tried a second time and left message on mobile. Missed call appears almost immediately, but visual voice mail too about 1 min to display :?

It must be all this rain.... :whistling:
