Haven't coded for years but would like to get into this.

Cheers

maybe start by learning to use google?

That's not very fair to the OP, the joke is pretty stale too.

I think the OP is after some recommendations for decent web sites that people have used before not a list from Google showing the OP who pays Google the most to be at the top...

Any apps that exist which tell you the prices of different cuts of wine?

I think it could be a good app, but I have no idea how to develop.

Yeah, I did think that, but I looked into making one ages ago and it was well, well above my capabilities

Plus it's more the layout/usability that I think will work well. I have designed it on paper but have literally no idea how to turn it into anything, reading for an afternoon or so on google it seemed pretty tough.

But then I read all the time about 14 year olds doing it, I must be smarter that a 14 year old surely!!

Google results were all paid for books, links etc, adding free to the search yielded a load of ad based sites, thanks for your useful input though ;)

As mentioned above, any recommended sources of information/learning ?

i was looking into building apps too but you need a mac to do it dont you? :(

Yeh you need a Mac and then pay for a developer kit/license, have a look at the apple reference library gives some sample code to play around with and lots of help topics.

you dont need to pay straight away only if you want to post it on the app store. you can get xcode free then pay once you have learned how to code.

I started programming in objective c then lost interest lol. It uses object orientated programming so make sure you know how to program using this framework.

I want to start getting back into it but havent got the time at the moment
