I have an iphone jailbroken and unlocked with the 3.1.2 firmware. I now use o2 in there but its locked to orange

I want to put the 3.1.3 firmware on then jailbreak and unlock again. Do i need to put my original orange simcard and restore it, then update it again. Or can i update it with the o2 sim?

Also the programs i installed third party. Will i lose them when i update the phone?

I dont think you can jailbreak or unlock 3.1.3 firmware yet. I would wait a while till they find a way to jailbreak a 3.1.3 firmware iphone. I may be wrong though

Do not upgrade to 3.1.3 if you want to keep it unlocked! As it stands Blackra1n does not work with 3.1.3, I have an i-phone 3G which is running 3.1.3 and this is jailbroken but it is not able to be unlocked, I had to use Redsn0w and it took at least five attempts. I am not aware of anybody that has softweare to unlock the 3.1.3 firmware, there are Jailbreaking versions around and these seem to only work on 2G and 3G i-phones but not 3G S. Have a look at these websites for more information
