Does anyone have any recommendations for insurance for iPhones (not covered on our home insurance unfortunately). Theft and water damage are a must... Many thanks.

Some bank accounts offer free mobile insurance. I was able to insure my blackberry with lloydstsb for nothing. Most places wanted more than I pay for my car insurance!!!

I bank with Lloyds and this is covered with my account.

most standalone iphone insurance is expensive £180 per year at least for a reputable company...I only pay £150 for my car....see if you can get it added to your home insurance for a small premium

I've been with CUSC foneguard which is just under £5 per month. Just had to make a claim (stolen from sports centre locker) and although it took about 3 weeks it was relatively smooth and successful.
In the small print I'm only actually covered for it being stolen-don't think it covers accidental damage.
A friend of mine is covered on a bank policy which seems a good deal, as it is a lot quicker and no excess to pay. This was £50 with cusc.

My 1st post on here, be gentle.
Barclays cover Iphones if you have an account with them or £5 a month, some banks say they cover Iphone, but its worth getting it confirmed by "head office" first.

You would need to register the phone with the insurance company so if they do not insure the iPhone then they will tell you there and then.

Thanks to all for your posts- I can upgrade my natwest account for £15 and get phone insurance (and travel and breakdown insurance) but it's only really worth it if I can also insure my OH's new iPhone too otherwise I'm still paying the same as I would on O2.
Cheers for the suggestions about home insurance- it's a little tricky at the moment as we're renting and our insurance is done through our agents, and we are in the process of ending our tenancy and applying for a mortgage, so I'd rather insure it seperately for the time being.
