Ziphone is getting a lot of bad press at the moment, have a look here for other solutions http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=136

why is it getting bad mouthed?

on the new ziphone, there is the option to fix the wifi issue?

Out of interest, what exactly is the wifi issue? because I used Ziphone and haven't had any problems with it. I did consider using iPlus I think it was called, but the large majority of people seem to prefer ZiPhone.

im not too clued up with the jargon mate, but ziphone breaks the wifi :-D

only kidding, (by the looks of it) it alters a few settings that need to be unaltered for the wifi to work. on the link that the above poster posted there is a fix which involves manually changing a few settings etc.

hmm, well all I can say is my iPhone is connected to the wifi in my house when ever it's not in standby and I've not had any problems.

From what ive read (and ive only had an Iphone a few weeks!) who ever wrote ziphone basically ripped it off of the main developer and took all credit for it. There are some issues with re-upgrading should you need to send it back to apple and potentially being able to unlock it under the 2.0 firmware when it comes out. Also the way it jailbreaks/unlocks your phone is potentially more capable of bricking it than others. A new tool pwnage is out but mac only at the moment (windows version coming soon) according to the iphone community is the safest and best way to go. i found all this out after i used ziphone! but as mentioned above ive had no problems with it, everything works fine
