Hi Guys

Looking to get Hubby a second hand Iphone for his Birthday in April, however he is not a heavy phone user and wouldnt really justify getting it on contract!

Could some tell me what the best payg tarriffs are for unlimited internet access i know that T-Mobile are offering unlimited access for £10.00 a month which is what he normally puts on his phone at the moment, is this the best one to go for?

Your thoughts will be appreciated.

Is your hubby a very heavy internet user?

Unlike O2 and other networks with the T-Mobile free internet and texts offer its the month after you top up you get the free reward stuff, so the first month (when he gets the phone) you wouldnt get the free stuff, it would be added the next month....if you see what i mean :?

Not that heavy as he is at work 9 - 5 and can use the laptop when he gets home.

He uses his phone to listen to the radio quite a bit. As there isnt a radio on the Iphone - he said that he could listen online?!?!?

moderate user i would say, probably use it quite a bit to begin with and when the novelity wears off alot less! lol

I only mention T Mobile as i saw it advertised on TV if anyone has any other recommendations for other networks i would gladly hear them x

If that is the case does he really need an iPhone?

To get the free internet and texts with O2 its £15 top up, but there are lots more rewards on O2 as well (10% back on your topups, phone fund for upgrading your handset on payasyougo, and more), plus they also have some good call rates, which as far as I know are better than T-mobile. I've been with (mainly) O2 for years but always have my phone unlocked, so I can go for any other good deals, free credit sims etc when they are on offer.

Also if he dosnt use all his credit, he can do what i do, use the free internet the first month and buy a months internet (£7.50 bolt on) the 2nd month using leftover cash credit.

They all have a fair usage policy, but its mainly to stop you having your phone hooked up to a PC downloading all the time, most people using there phone only to browse wont come close to reaching it.

What would be a good price to pay for a 2nd hand 8gb Iphone 3g?

Around £230 i guess.

If he does get it, I would recommend an app called 'Wunderradio', it streams hundreds of radio stations from the uk and abroad!

too scared to do mine hehe

i don't want to jailbreak it and something goes wrong and then not be able to restore it and apple find out it's been jailbroken...would be a complete loss of my 32gb 3gs
