Better to buy a new sim free one direct from apple if you can afford it,you have the warranty and piece of mind that its not going to be blocked etc....wouldn't ever buy a phone off ebay

Just be careful.

As Boothy says lots of people sell mobile phones when they're short of cash and then report them stolen a few weeks/months later. She won't like Santa very much if her phone gets blocked in the new year. Do you know the person selling the phone on FB well?

You won't be covered, not for long enough anyway.

You should never buy a mobile phone from anywhere but a proper retailer.
#12
How do the likes of CEX get away with this not happening to them .. ?

But all Apple have is the over priced 3GS 8GB and the Garbage iPhone 4 lol

Op if you splash out £300 or whatever on a used phone then you will always be expecting it to be blocked one day in the future. Just too risky.

Thankyou for advice ... But i just spoke to O2 on there livechat service and was told if the phone is locked to their service and i get the IMEI number they will check that the phone isnt stolen then once i have the phone and i register a new sim with them the phones will be registered in my name and only i can then report the phone stolen so no one else can get it blocked ...
