That looks pretty neat, although i'm not feeling the bottom bit, looks a bit "odd" and out of place.

Are you sure that's £108 on PAYG for the G1 in the UK? I can't see that being the case but if it was then I'd have a stab in the dark and try one out!

It's $200 on a 2 year contract in the US, so I'm guessing it'll be about £300ish PAYG but it's obviously for a contract as it uses 3G a lot

That's a bit more like it although I don't know if they'd look at selling this handset on PAYG for some time. I'm waiting for a call from Orange as they've finally decided to tell me after renewing my contract that there are two blackspots in my area. I'm getting them to cancel my contract, hopefully I'll still get to keep my Blackberry Bold but I might go for an iphone on a contract!

agree apple has done a great (marketing esp.) job bit i dont think its done and dusted. some people would be very reluctant to buy an Apple product, and there's loads of great products by many manufacturers, but none of them market as well as apple or match it's eye candy levels!

Is the iPhone a smart phone then?

i really like that tmobile g1 looks really nice - not a fan of touch screens but tbh for a decent phone you need it

If only the screen was actually central + it actually had a decent os - decent memory - actually did anything

Only reason to get the iphone is the ipod inside

^^ nope the ipods nothing major, i like my iphone mainly due to the browser.

It will be $400 PAYG in the US and T-Mobile will unlock it free after 90 Days. I like the fact that 5 years down the line we'll be able to upgrade the software to the newest one. I also like the barcode scanner that will search for the item to find it cheaper which will be good for impulse buys on the street :)
