Just noticed my iPhone speaker has gone to half the volume it used to play at

Anyone have a clue what the problem might be?

It's insured by the way

is it on all your music as that might be something to do with the actual mp3 files as I know you can change EQ's in iTunes for them... As MarzBarz said there is an internal setting under the iPod section for 'Volume Limit'. Then again with the recent news about Europe wanting music player volumes to be limited Apple may have just realised a new update...

Its probably easier than you think to fix!
Look at the speaker and you will probably see that the 'speaker holes' are blocked!
Use a vey fine needle and gently unblock the holes. Some people say to push the needle right in but you shouldnt need to do that and besides you might samage the speaker. I used the needle on mine and the volume returned to normal Basicall ovber a period of time the holes become clogged up with debris.
GOOD LUCK - let me know how you got on!
