iphone using android apps?

.

I was just doing a google search on those Air Drones and came across an interesting item regarding iPhone emulation to use android apps. Said it would be available from 4.1 (Which is out now right?)

So can the iPhone use the apps?

'Their top bod, Stephen jobs said in an interview'

"with devices like the HTC desire, Motorola Milestone and Google Nexus, which exceed the iphone hardware in every respect, we have to do what we do best and release better software."

Which at least their "top bod" appreciates, even if the fan boys don't!

This is what made me laugh

To celebrate the launch apple, will be releasing a new green iphone and ipad which have been made from 14% recycled sprite cans.

haha... No worries. Shame it didn't get replies first though. (From both sides of the fence!)

lol..... I did see the sprite can comment. Referencing that might just have given the game away even earlier.

That said though, there have been artcles on how someone has tripped the iOS off an iPhone and managed to load Android on and run it - although lack of buttons was a recognised problem. Can't see Apple ever allowing Android to be emulated, unless it's via some clever jailbreak method.

In any case - which Android apps would you want on an iPhone? The general quality of Andriod apps is poor compared to Apple apps - and that's coming from me as an Android user! MyPlayer would be good...the Android Spotify client is better than its iEquivalent, but that's about it...

Really? With my iPod Touch, I like to see all the tiles lined up without any widgets. Granted it could be useful on the iPhone though.

Apple's got tons of great apps that Android doesn't...I presume because Android's a phone OS first and foremost, whereas the iOS has become more than that. For example - I have a portable four track recording studio (FourTrack) on my iPod Touch...I have a looper application that lets me loop and build sound samples (no equivalent on Android)...and Apple's got loads of great games, and only a handful of developers develop for Android...

widgets are super useful especially ones like pure calendar widget, todo lists, and having the power bar on your homescreen.

For me, I use my phone as a productivity tool there are plenty of tools and widgets for android to support this. I don't want/have time to play games on my phone and I'd prefer to spend down time reading articles for which there are lots of apps on android.

if you think there are only a handful of developers on android then you must be running a very early version or you haven't discovered andoid market.

most successful apps on the iphone are on android now.
