Hi guys. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand iPhone with the simplicity contract. I spoke to o2 n they said that I'd lose some of the features with this route?

What would I get and not get?

Also what will be the differences between 2g and 3g iPhones?

What should I be looking to pay?

They Lie.

As long as you get a simplicity contract with an unlimited internet bolt on (you get a free bolt on from £19.58 a month and up) then you will be fine.

the O2 rep you talked to was talking out their ****.

A 3G iphone has:
GPS Tracking
3g Usability
New Headphone jack
Bigger memory sizes

thats the only diff.

cheers mate :)

i thought it seemed a bit suspect coz ive seen people on here talk about using it. - i think he was trying to talk me into signing up for a £40 a month iphone specific contract.

so id be alright with a 2g phone ? - what kinda price should i be looking to pay ?

If you dont want the 3g connection then yea the 2g will be fine :) and probably around £200 i would imagine!

Not exactly 100%.

You would lose WiFi Hotspots for theCloud and BTopenzone. Something I use often from my work location.

You will also loose visual voicemail.
Some crappy thing by apple, basically downloads your voicemail as .amr audio clips so you can rewind, pause, etc like a music track.

No major loss at all.

I have the 2G iphone on Simplicity with CPW and am paying £5.66 a month with unlimited web bolton. - Cant go wrong!
