iPod Nano , Classic or Touch!??!!

Hi there - my Dad turns 60 on 28th December and I want to get him an iPod. He loves listening to music, and likes his gadgets in general. Two questions though:

1) do you think if I hang off until AFTER Christmas, the price will come down in the sale? Or is it fixed regardless of time of the year?

2) Which kind would you reommend? He'll want it more for music than films, although I'm sure he'll love whatever I get him. I'm thinking about the 5th Gen iPod Nano at the moment, as I think he'd get good use from the AM/FM radio as well.

Help, advice, suggestions would be much appreciated. :)

i would agree with those and usually ipods dont come down that much in price its general up to £10 off.

normally you would get free stuff.

if its mainly for music i would say classic.
if its for a variety e.g. music, video, games etc. then touch.

Thank you Dealslover. And the Nano, who's that best for? Am I correct in thinking that you only get AM/FM radio on the 5th Gen Nano, not the Classic?:thumbsup:

yh thats correct. i would say nano and classic are for the same peopl. but what you have to consider is is the 120GB over 16GB more important a radio and no radio

I'd go for the touch :P Its the only one worth the money if you ask me, all the features, wi-fi big screen, voice control now, bluetooth the apps, alot of potential. Worth the extra few quid. Otherwise get something thats not an iPod 'cause they suck

Thank you all for your suggestions. I decided to go for the 5th Gen 16Gb Nano for my Dad, which I know he'll love. Also bought a Sony clock/radio/iPod docking station in Tesco, reduced from £70 to £50, so that's me sorted!

Thanks for all the advice!
