iPod or Zen?

Well I think the time has come to actually update my mp3 player.

I was thinking of either getting a
4GB iPod nano [latest gen]

or

Creative Zen 8GB MPEG4 player.

Size isnt a must really because i wont fill 4GB let alone 8.

But I want to know which one is best and what you prefer and why?

I like them both but the Zen stands out because of the storage.

True, but as I said, size isn't really a bonus. I wont use 4GB nevermind 8.

Go for the ipod then, in my opinion it is easier to navigate.

The only bonus is the radio, does ipod have a radio?
#11
have both..only one i use everyday is the ipod nano.

reasons :
Small
light
slimline
easy to use
easy to update songs because i already use itunes.

Im sure some of the same can be said for the zen..but i just didnt "click" with the zen :)
#12
ipod is best i ve tried others but its not as easy as the ipod
banned#13
I think you can get an add-on for the ipod to enable the radio feature. When I had a Zen, the radio was really good. Not too sure about the ipod radio or if it is out for the nano.

Do any support divx?

Better sound and screen quality on the ZEN, I chose it over the Nano and haven't looked back :) The Zen supports DivX/XviD but you must recode it to a smaller resolution which takes me about 5 minutes whereas the iPods require a whole different file format which takes me 45 minutes each 45 minute episode.

Price wise it is better to go for the ZEN. You can get the 4GB version for £68.94 and as it's SDHC compatible for less than £15 you can get an 8GB Card so you'd have 12GB for less than a 4GB Nano... (although I know like me you said you'll never fill up 4GB)

for easness/ size i'm swaying toward nano.

for everything else, zen.

Did you like it? If not go for the Zen. Another thing to take into consideration is the itunes shop. If you wanted to buy anything off there like songs or tv programmes.

Ive got the 4gb creative zen, which is this one:

http://www.ubergizmo.com/photos/2007/11/creative-zen-4gb.jpg

Its easy to put music straight on and dont have to worry with any itunes converter. Comes with radio, microphone, music etc..

Also if you want 8gb worth of storage then you could do the same as me and buy the 4gb version and get a 4gb SD card which is alot cheaper than the actual 8gb version. Overall its actually quite abit cheaper than the ipod nano one i think.

Mine included next day delivery and 6% quidco is about £5? so i think i got better maybe...
#35
£84.99 delivered at play, then 4% quidco..

And it will come next day via parcelforce.
#36
Play.com tells me it's £89.99. It would be cheaper with the quidco to go by Amazon but you'd have to wait a couple more days.

Use the £5 voucher which expires tonight :)
#39
Doh! silly me, always forget the vouchers :) Ah well you'd only save a few quid on an already cheap brilliant MP3/4 Player. Not the end of the world as I can guess from your replies t0mm :-P
