lol did laugh at that Shelly!! My son goes straight from school on a Friday to my parents for the night - and when I pick him up on the Saturday my mum hands me a bag of his freshly washed and ironed uniform!!

Now my boy is older he isnt really into wearing his pyjamas now - its more just boxers he sleeps in - but when I change his bed, tell him to get in to his pj's so everything is cosy!

I don't have children, but I love ironed PJs.
The feeling of freshly washed and ironed bed linen combined with the feeling of freshly washed and ironed PJs is just so nice after a long hot shower.
If it's a bad day then the sheets will be just be dried on the aga which due to the heat gets rid of lots of the creases but ironed pillow cases and PJs are a must.
Sod the pants and socks though, don't have the time nor patience for that.

Is that because you have an ironer as well as a cleaner and a gardener MB? ;)

No , don't mean it. I have an ironer as well - my hubby.

Back in the day, you would need to iron everything because of the state of laundrying and fabrics but ... honestly ... I have to say that if you choose the correct wash cycle, have the right wash powder/liquid and fabric conditioner , then hang up to dry on coat hangers, then the ioning is pretty much narrowed to denim and linen, with a quick once over for the rest but NOT PJs.

Ironing PJs thus is only necessary if they are denim!!

The main thing with bed linen is to get them out in the sun and air. I have never ironed a sheet in my life and neither did any of my ancestors! :D

No Way Jose to any ironing, ( woops - except for those creases down the sides of your linen trousers that just have to be eradicated).

I only iron smart shirts. Everything else gets smoothed and folded into a pile when it is removed from the washer, left for about an hour and then hung up to dry most things are completely wrinkle free (depending on the fabric). I don't feel lazy, as my boss always says work smarter not harder. It is also much more environmentally friendly as it does not require electricity! I just don't know where anyone finds the time to iron everything.
#33
Maybe this is where I'm going wrong with my time then....I only just stopped ironing towels earlier this year...the embarrassing thing is I iron pretty much everything except underwear.

I'm told one of my husband's friends irons his socks :D

i dont iron anything oO goes straight off the airer or line straight into the drawers or wardrobe

might have to iron the odd shirt or jeans but if you hang stuff out right you never need to do it

its not right or wrong either way....preference

if summit looks a bit creased i do iron it the night before we need it thou

I iron before i wear too.

My sis doesn't even own an iron any longer, she does as some others here, she hangs stuff up,the odd thing that's really bad she gives to me to iron but that is very rare.

Each to their own but i can't undestand why anyone would stand for an hour or two ironing.

We last ironed about a month ago.

I don't iron anything - OH does it all lol. But wouldn't ever iron pjs or bed linen or underwear. Life's too short. My pal's mum used to iron everything inc towels oO
