1gb should be fine!

its things like streaming video and music that use up your allowance.

1gb is fine for just general browsing and e-mail I would think.

But, do check what happens if you go over your limit. They may just charge you per mb you use, but i have heard some horror stories of horrendous charges if you go over your allowance

BTW...Why dont you say what the deal you are getting is? That way people might be able to help you by either saying its good, or find you a better one?

Its a sim only

600 mins any network
Unlimited Texts
1gb data allowance
£20 a month

I know o2 do a sim only with 800 mins , 1200 texts and unlimited internet but i really do need unlimited texts and a internet bolt on.

o2 do several bolt ones. One of which is unlimited texts (I think). But then I am not sure about the internet cost if you choose the text bolt on.

Assuming the above deal cost between £15 - £20 I would be happy with it. But as I said, do check what happens if you go over your data allowance (just in case).

Don't forget to check the usual cash back sites!!

just buy an iphone pay n go sim off eBay dude, you get 12 months internet free (wont get turned off as it's in an iPhone), phone em up and change the tarrif to £10 for unlimited 02-02 texts, £15 for the 02-02 texts but unlimited 02-02 calls too.. so if all your friends are on o2, then after the month, you still have near £15 on your phone which you use for the following month then when you whack another 15 on, the allowance starts again..

get a different tarrif or different bolt on then dude, no need to change to t-frigggin mobile of all things...

Sad thing is, my 12 months internet ended, i got another iPhone sim off ebay, but o2 do not port a number from one 02 sim to another (yes they do, but if you do it that way, they transfer the tarrif and the fact my internet had run out to it too!!!!), i had to get a yes..... t-mobile sim, port my number to that, then port it to the iPhone sim card after it was activated...
