I've never managed to stay awake during any of the Lord of the Ring movies.

I fell asleep through the first two at the cinema. Not seen them since but I'm not expecting them to be any more exciting.

I'd rather watch paint dry than have to sit through any Lord of the Rings movies again....

Why does Star Wars get mentioned everytime LOTR is discussed? Are they the Xbox 360/PS3, LCD/Plasma, Apple/Microsoft etc of the movie world?

I watched about an hour of the first one and that was enough for me, don't get the appeal of the films at all
#26
well - watched the third one - didn't fall asleep as far as i can tell.

dimpler, if english isn't your first language, why not watch films with subtitles and learn as you watch? just a suggestion.

Did you learn Elvish as you watched the Third film?

I love the Lord of the Rings films. Although I personally felt the third film dragged out at the end, but that was my opinion as a casual viewer and not a hardcore LOTR/Tolkien fan.
#29
tell me about that, i do watch films with subtitles , and sleep talk in English too.
maybe i need to go back to college?
