Try a Black Country Derby - WBA v Wolves - the ferocity of it is unmissable!

Lets hope its a last minute winner this time then.

Just a shame we've got so many injuries and suspensions.

I suppose we could claim "we're playing the kids", but we'll leave that excuse to you lot as you have the copyright for it.

I can't wait until 'Barra boy' Redknapp finally goes down for all his dodgy dealings, the guy is filth.

I haven't witnessed one of those but a north london derby is all about skill, rather than bashing everyone about....although I don't mind checking it out next time that fixture comes about. :-D

Nah, you lot are always chasing the game, while our boys feel sorry for you, so a winner is unlikely this time as well. lol

Who's injured and suspended anyway....I know Defoe and Lennon is out but didn't realise that meant "so many injuries and suspensions"

The Manchester derby has improved this year but did you still enjoy yourself watching an ex Liverpool player scoring the winner? :p

There was a good few mins added on to the additional injury time, I have to admit....I was hoping for a draw at the time but that was a very entertaining game. :)

How did you react to that goal?

Have you seen derbies in Turkey...I don't think I'd wanna be part of that crowd? :whistling:

Check it out next time around, derbies against Galatasaray, Fener and Besiktas are some of the most hostile in the world but the atmosphere is electric and a must see experience.

The fact that the top four will be Chelsea, Stretford, Liverpool, Manchester City.

You're dreaming! lol

United are weaker than ever before but have the whole worlds luck on there side, Liverpool are on terrible form and are already being written off and Man City will be losing Toure and Ade for a while in a couple months. :whistling:

Don't forget that Arsenal are playing well against all teams and we have a game in hand. ;-)

with :santa: cruz and MJ now available plus a cast of several international top class players I think we can manage

Ahh the old 'playing well' that gets you battered by Stretford and City lol. Arsenal dont have the depth of squad and Tottenham dont have the bottle. Come January, Arsenal will be forced to get rid of another couple of ship jumpers and itll all be downhill from there

Santa Cruz isn't as good as Hughes thinks but I thought Michael Jackson recently past away. :p
....I know City are rich but you can't resurrect the dead. lol

Nah, all the bad apples have already left, as Toure and Ade were looking like leaving for at least a year, so I don't think anyone will be leaving this season at least.
We've got quite a big squad now, purely because we've got so many up and coming players that are now ready to be given game time on the pitch like Ramsey, Vela and Wilshire, who aren't even considered by many.

Good luck integrating a load of kids into the team halfway through the season, itll either be Liverpool or Arsenal that makes way for City, either one doesnt bother me but judging by the matches Ive seen Im going to go with Arsenal. Chelsea are very strong so far, Stretford have the referees on their side so neither of those two will be dropping out any time soon.

I can't see City breaking into the top 4 this season unless they buy big again in January, I'm willing to put money on that.

We will buy a left back, right back and creeative midfielder and its goodnight vienna

And who do you expect to sign in those positions....I don't mind taking Micah Richards off your hands as a decent back up. :)

Even tho Im a United fan, id disagree. City are a club going places and can see them having a good enought team/squad to claim a top four place, tho I dont think they can challenge for title this season. TBH I think Liverpool most likely team to have their top four place taken by City. Also as a proud manc Id like to see City and United fighting it out for the title :)

I can't see United going places unless they buy as well but there's a lot of rumours that you're gonna buy big in January.

I think City will be close this year but will just miss out on a top 4 place but I think the top 5 will actually be quite close, as the top 4 (apart from Chelsea) has weakened on paper, while some teams have also matured and got rid of players that unsettled the team.

Spurs will short as well, while also getting a lot of competition from Villa....all I can say is this season will be very exciting. :-D

Frank Ribery, maicon and im not sure about left back maybe abidal although some dont rate him and I believe hes been playing midfield recently. You can take Micah Richards, ill drive him there myself he's the biggest liability in the team, absolutely useless and the sooner he's gone the better. We weakened Villa by selling them Dunne now Id LOVE us to do the same to Arsenal with Richards.

Errrmm....I really can't see you signing those players but I do think Utd will eventually buy Ribery, they're just waiting for Munich to come up with a realistic asking price.

Dunne has actually been playing very well at Villa and has been picking up loads of points for my fantasy team. :-D

Now that was funny, best defensive record in the prem atm. Lescott just looks ordinary at best to me. In the long term he may come good but City are weak at the back IMO.

Collins, Dunne and Warnock will be some of the best buys of the season.
If Villa could sign a good striker we'd be a top 4 team no problem.

Dunne has the most points out of all the defenders in fantasy footy, so I doubt he's weakened the team by much lol
Villa need quite a few players, as they've got a few crucial players but only let down by some of the lesser known players....I think you lot need quite a few players to be able to fully compete for a champions league place and that's why you lot fell short towards the end of last season. :)

there so much wrong with that statement... do you actually watch football?
#34
I think over the next few years the Manchester Derby will become the most important in the world possibly.

Spurs v Arsenal will probably always be technically superior to most other derbies though.

It's all part of a cunning masterplan, next they are going to weaken Barca by selling Robhino to them.

Not sure the plan is going to work but it is different.

With West Ham being relegated this year, and Millwall in the Championship, I can only assume you're having a laugh?

It might be considered a big gang for the thugs, but meanwhile in the football world, its a non entity.

Actually, thinking about it, I remember going to a Wall v Hammers game at the old Den. A match without incident, both on and off the pitch. (Think it was the first time you'd played since Ian Pratt got pushed off the train at New Cross Station, on a Tuesday evening that Millwall Played Orient and drew 0-0 and West Ham played Charlton and won 2-0. Both League Cup fixtures. - Sorry if my recollection is a little vague! :))

We do hate each other - there's no disguising it...

I awlays thought the old firm derby was supposed to one of the most intense... I spose if you chuck in some religeous sentiment it's bound to have an impact...
#39
Isn't it the Superclásico (river plate vs Boca Juniors) the most ferocious derby in the world? These make derbys in this country look rather tame.

Where's all the Spurs fans? :-D
