As the title. I'm wondering if I will get paid double time as we do on bank holidays.

Cheers

I see that 5th June 2012, a Tuesday, is a bank holiday (Queen's Diamond Jubilee).

Two bank holidays in a row! Whooo!! :w00t:

Easter Sunday is The ONLY Sunday Of The Year that supermarkets and some large shops are not allowed to open on religeous grounds

Sunday trading
Requirements for large shops on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day
As well as complying with restrictions on opening hours on normal Sundays, large stores of more than 280 square metres (3,000 square feet) mustn't open on:

Easter Sunday (except Scotland)
Christmas Day
Small shops are free to open when they choose on these days.

There are significant fines for failing to comply with these requirements.

But there bringing it forward a day to Monday 4th. And doing away with Spring Bank Holiday, if that link in the post before yours is correct

EDIT: Take that back ....

It has been announced that there will be a special bank holiday in 2012 to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The 2012 late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4 June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5 June 2012.
