Welcome to HUKD secretgunner! Never had a big problem using eBuyer here either.

eBuyer (and some other cheapo shops) is box shifter. That means, they selling volumes of stuff and don't care to hire quality staff. In other words, if something goes wrong then prepare for long process. They will get it right eventually.

Out of my 30 or so orders, 3 were problematic: 1) late delivery; 2) wrong item; 3) wrong item.

Overall, they're OK as long as you have no expectations of getting John Lewis-like service.

I've stopped using them 'cos of hassle of trying to sort problems out - endless phone calls and then have to wait in for their collection or else have to pay for costs of returning faulty goods. I can usually get things for similar prices by looking around or save myself some money (and hassle) by thinking - do I really need this?

We could do that with everything, but they do usually have just the things I do need :)

I've hear bad stories about Ebuyer, but personally, never a problem.
Goods appeared on time, right goods sent, and the prices are usually one of the lowest.

Got to say it as you find it for me. 100% perfect so far!

I think a lot of Ebuyers bad reputation comes from about 12 months ago when they closed down their Customer service phone numbers and relied totally on their eNotes PM system for Customer service this made dealing with any problems very slow and left the customer feeling out of control. They saw the light and restored the phone line. I have used them on and off for a couple of years and found them to be reliable my only problem happened when the phone line was closed and my problem was resloved to my satisfaction.

Yeah I agree with that! The telephone customer service numbers might have had some faults [long waiting times and such], but at least talking to a person rather than by e-notes, resolved issues much easier and faster.

I used them and they were quick and reliable. Dabs is much better though.
