Sent my landlord a rent payment Thursday by faster payments, he claims it hasnt been recieved yet despite my bank saying it was sent faster payments and his bank having faster payments system too.

Also send another payment from a different account at a different bank on Saturday that hasnt seemed to be recieved yet, also someone sent me a payment from a faster payments bank and i havent recieved.

Any ideas?

Faster Payments is an industry-wide initiative that means when you send money from your current account, you’ll no longer have to wait three days for it to transfer between banks. Instead, MOST payments to and from your account will happen almost right away.

so its MOST not all.., well that what it say's in term's and conditions with my bank..,

Send youself a payment or open an new electron account or something useful - takes about 2 days here with Scottish clearing. Your bank - telephone or internet should advise date cleared. A landlord would love you to pay twice or earlier, even - don't you think?

Each payment was under £100(£100 exactly for one)

The new Faster Payments Service
You can now make payments in Sterling in a matter of hours rather than days. Faster Payments is now available for one-off payments through our Telephone Banking and Internet Banking services.

Faster Payments is an industry-wide initiative that means when you send money from your current account, you’ll no longer have to wait three days for it to transfer between banks. Instead, most payments to and from your account will happen almost right away.

The Faster Payments Service will run alongside existing payments systems and similar payment limits will apply.

The majority of payments processed by the Faster Payments Service will be accepted by the receiving bank almost immediately. In most cases the money will have cleared and will show on the recipient’s bank account within a couple of hours. However, as other banks process their payments differently we can’t guarantee when this money will be credited to the recipient’s account.

Some payments such as utility bills, credit cards or payments to business accounts may still take a few days to reach the account, so it’s worth allowing yourself 3 to 4 working days to make sure the payment is received on time. Please note that some banks and building societies have not implemented Faster Payments yet so if you are making a payment to one of them, it will always take up to four working days.

To take full advantage of Faster Payments, register and make your payments through our Internet and/or Telephone Banking services.

I'd assume he does since he was complaining that all his other rent payments received arrived same day.
