When I do a track and trace I get...................
04/08/2010 00:00:00 WEB CUSTOMER The parcel data has been received
04/08/2010 23:59:00 PRIME SORT The parcel has been sorted at our hub
05/08/2010 00:59:00 PRIME SORT The parcel is enroute to Ireland

Now I live in Harlow in Essex so I can't imagine why my parcel is having a holiday in Ireland before it comes to me.

Is this usual or am I just the lucky one?

Lol 'enroute to Ireland' is probably a code-name for 'enroute to the F-IN house!'

never had any problems

Can't be ar... with multi quote.

It was BT Shop.

Oh well, hope it turns up tomorrow ( although I'm not in a desperate hurry for it, so if it does have a nice little holiday I won't mind too much ).

HDNL 'Hid it, Dropped it, Nicked it, Lost it'

They're awful by us in Liverpool, claimed they couldn't locate the property despite delivering here before. I had to actually go and collect the parcel because they were incapable of delivering it, waited 45 minutes for them to find it in their warehouse because it was no where it should have been. They eventually found it on "some blokes desk", needless to say I was not too impressed. I actively go out of my way now to ensure they aren't used to deliver things.

Also had parcels delivered via Fife in Scotland before now, it got stuck there for 5 days because of snow. Oh and also had things show up as delivered yet they were still in their warehouse. Shocking company.

Same here, (wirral) they broke into our garage , left four large parcels on show , plus entire contents of garage on display as they broke the garage door , so they just left it oO , then when rang them they had no record of ANY delivery !!! There bad !

Its HDNL....it could be anywhere!! (just that you won't know where as they tend not to bother leaving cards!)

Terrible company, leave it on the door step with no card, put it in our bin, on our bin for anyone walking past the back to pick up and take.

Hmmm, sounds like it's going to be a bit hit or miss as to whether I get this or now.
I'll update if and when it arrives.

Thanks everyone. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/thumbsup.gif

I've never had a problem with them. Although, it does seem to be the same delivery driver which drops the parcels off to my house. So that could be a decent reason why ive never had a problem.

they suck

At least once a month I get a parcel delivered or left on my doorstep which isn't for me by HDNL. Then the next day a panicked delivery guy sheepishly knocking on the door asking for the parcel back! I now just phone them but begrudge that as it's an 0844 or 0845 number and don't like paying for their incompetence.
I would never choose to send anything with HDNL, however DHL and parcel force are great around here, couldn't be more helpful or more friendly, brilliant service.

I think some HDNL drivers are basically someone with a car, when I lived in Scarborough had a £500 pc nicked as they handed it to someone without ID and just went "are you mr X" And two other times did the same thing when I lived in block of rooms with shared front door(like 40 rooms) handed parcel to a random person walking up to front door!

I at least smiled at Hid it Dropped it Nicked it Lost it! thanks for the smile.
I have just wasted 3 days waiting in for HDNL - now known as MyYodel - I arranged the collection date (of a damaged item) with email confirmation from Plumbworld for November 22nd. MyYodel turned up SATURDAY 20th and left a card. I stayed in hopefully on Monday 22nd which was the agreed arranged date and no-one appeared - rang automated 087 number to rearrange for the 23rd, left my mobile number too, went online and did the same - couldn't speak to a real person from either media..... no-one came the 23rd. Emailed Plumbworld, complained and asked them to arrange it for MONDAY 29th November - which they did..... MyYodel turned up on FRIDAY 26th at 6.50 pm - luckily their van was blocking my drive otherwise I was on my way out!! The driver stayed in his van and sent a lady to pick up the large package, she didn't seem to understand when I said I'm expecting you on Monday.... My guess is they wouldn' t have shown up on the 29th if I'd been out on the 26th. I will never buy from an online company that uses this delivery company again. ..... I could bore you with the same story for an HDNL delivery of a flippin' teacosy from BHS but I think you get the picture.....There - Now I feel better - thanks for listening to my rant!oO

Waited in all day last Friday, they turned up the 30 mins I had gone out to collect my son and left card, it was perfectly safe to leave the package as we are secluded, also neighbour living opposite was in, other couriers leave no problem.
Re-arranged for Monday but even although again I stayed in they simply didn't show?
Re-arranged for next day (Tuesday) and emailed them for explaination..... no reply 3 days later!
Snowed on Tuesday so you guessed it,... they didn't show again. Now you might think fair enough but 2 other couriers did deliver that day?
Snowed in now so no idea when I will receive the fragile package and what condition it will be in, considering it could have been left last Friday, I'm NOT impressed.
YODAL ARE PANTS.

HDNL are shockingly bad. They seemingly just toss things around like crazy in their warehouse and open packages that look "interesting". I have heard a few stories of items going missing as well.

I think this company is fab always try and find a way to deliver if I am not in. There is the point of not ordering when you know that you wont be in for delivery and expecting them to find a way, thumbs up for HDNL still trying despite the snow

I heard a story only yesterday about someone waiting in for 2 days for item and it not arriving and HDNL claiming they attempted delivery, what they didnt realise was the homeowner had CCTV and took it to court and won.
