Is it easy to return items from amazon.uk

I am having trouble with amazon site at the moment and cant access all pages but could someone just tell me if i order 2 diferent style shoes from there (cos the pics are all crosses) are they easy to return afterwards.

I'm pretty sure that you have to pay for the return postage costs. I've never returned anything though so don't know about how easy it is.

You can indeed return them to amazon (or any other retailer) within 10 working days (starting the day after you recieve the goods) under the Distance Selling Regulations. You'll have to return them at your cost though unless they are faulty. Amazon very good with returns. (Note: This only applies to stuff sold by Amazon.co.uk NOT marketplace sellers).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=901888 is the info. It looks easy, you go onto their online returns center and you'll have to print off a returns shipping label. Looks easy enough and they are a good company.

Thanks for that, i seem to be having problems accessing the pages, not sure whats up with the computer plus im doing another 20 jobs

Sorry about that yes it is 7 working days (normally works out to 10 calender days including day of receipt)

Bit harsh buying two with the intention of giving one back, no? Usually the one you send back will be sold off cheaply as grade a, rather than resold.

To be fair the OP is just making use of the legal rights available to her - if there is an issue with that it's not her responsibility to resolve. If any company can afford such customer service it's amazon (who are usually fantastic).

I am buying a pair of shoes for my father-in-law and it is hard to choose when you cant actually see the product except for the pics on the site which are not brilliant at best. I assumed amazon were like most places where you can buy and return if they are no good so i was going to order two pairs and he could choose.
I was just asking how their returns worked as some pages are not coming fully onto my screen

They probably are'nt actually from Amazon themselves, they are probably from Schuh who are one of the retailers on Amazon, we bought some JuJu Jellies (sandals) off amazon but had to return them to Schuh rather then Amazon directly, was easy enough though and no problems.

I find them great ordered a george foreman grill and griddle but handle broke on first use they sent me a new one within 24 hrs and nefver asked for the old one back

The Amazon returns service is amazing. They sent us a USA copy of a DVD. I went through the return procedure and noticed in the top right corner of a page: something like ‘do you want us to call you back by ‘phone’. So I clicked the “Yes’ option thinking that I would be waiting at least 24hours for a response.

Seconds later the ‘phone call came from Amazon. I explained what had happened, they emailed a return label to print and the replacement arrived within a day.:thumbsup:
