Is it me or is this homework too much to expect from a six year old?

I think this one is way too difficult to expect for a six year old to do, no joking this is what the teacher set for our lad to do!

See below and try it yourself!

Even we struggled at first :-)

Bit much for a 6 year old I would have thought...........wonder how many 6 year olds did this as homework on their own??
#5
Theres cartoons on!
#6
6 year old !

i cant even do that
#7
I'm not even going to try to solve it:) Was never good at maths, but I think this is OTT to expect a six year old to solve. All credit to six year olds who can!!!!!

Going to show this to my wife who teaches 11 year olds.

Does look a bit much to be honest but a the same time I think its more about getting them to count in different ways rather than just the standard.

Like it says that it wants you to use 25 dried beans, so I'd imagine they've to sit and play about with them and add them up differently.
#9
It's not hard at all, but for a six year old that's a completely different story.
#10
naa thats way above 6 years. My 6 years olds have homework and its easier than that. They are just at the sally had 53 fleas and boris has 23 how many fleas all together.
Can ya give me your answer to yours in case they get it next week. lol

Not too bad for adults but for a 6 year old - education has advanced alot since I was 6 put it that way lol.
#22
do I think its a bit much for a 6 year old? No. Why? its basically just trial and error puzzle.

I did it in less then a minute , but i'm in menza and have 175IQ last time i checked

From some of your posts I'd be shocked if your IQ is even average :whistling:

If it was my Sons homework I'd tell him to colour it in & hand it back, looks way to hard for a six your old!
