Young guys will generally say it's not ok. The older you get that attitude seems to change...

It shows they are human and have emotions.
They are still a man in my eyes.

I agree with Tanya :) (and I'm female btw)

Is it physical pain we're talking about or mental? Physical pain is obviously a no no to cry to.

I love my dad more because he got upset about his dad's death.

It shows that he is compassionate, loving and caring.

That is why I love him.

Im sorry but are you actually suggesting that you would love your dad less if he had shown less emotion about his father dying?

Of course it's OK :)

Yes it's okay. It's a physical reaction to emotion. Why would that not be okay?

Ignore people like Micoo - people like him have their sexuality hanging by the thinnest of threads and something as innocuous as crying could tear the whole facade down.

depends on what he's crying about if its something silly like his fingers got trapped in the door and it hurt or he fell down the stairs and broke some bones (nothing permanent) or cos of sports.... its not ok to cry. If its something deep like someone close to him died (no pets) then i dont mind him crying :3

I cried at 7 pounds also.... after realising that was 90 minutes I'd never get back from watching a film you'd recommended. (Marley and Me was a sad one though... mostly I guess from having a Goldy!)

Hmmm.... Is it Ok to cry? Well I have to admit Ive seen an awful lot of fake (and probably some real) tears recently on this forum. Mostly from one member as it happens! X)

your wife isnt that old guvvy, bit harsh calling her a dog also (boom boom)...still stand by my 7pounds reccomendation, avoid dear john like the plague though, waste of time and extremely boring.

Better to cry than keep it in I'd say ;)

watch Will Smith's 'in the pursuit of Happiness' and I'm sure a grown man will shed a tear both in happiness and sadness. What a film and a story, just finished watching it on TV. Saying that also watching I am legend when Will Smith has to kill his dog is an emotional spot, especially for those with dogs.

A man crying proves he has feelings, empathy and is human.

That film did not make me cry lol, was a cracking movie though. Pearl harbour was the only film that ever made me cry, im not even sure why since its not even a sad movie X)

It does not take crying to prove a man has feelings etc

Dumbest question ever.
External genitalia and social stigma has nothing to do with emotional state and working tear ducts.
