ohh ok thanks i thought it would be ok because i thought they only register with businesses with fixed address etc, ohh well

What's the website ?

I would have thought it was OK certainly from a security point of view as you never actually give the shop your details.
Not sure how paypal stand with you not receiving the goods etc. Hopefully someone will have a better answer though. I have always preferred to use paypal as I feel safer.

A lot of Ebay traders are too though.

Although the contact details on the site are a bit sparse.

Were you planning to spend much, can't you source the same item from somewhere else that we've heard of ?lol

lol i was looking for those belkin surge protectors with individual switches(not commen) and i found this site to be cheapest about £14 i think anywhere else is £19+ but i rather pay that then get robbed

I'd rather pay the extra fiver for peace of mind to be honest.

I've never heard of that site, but that doesn't mean a lot lol

A quick looksie show there is no return / registered address for the "business". The best you get is:
Corporate Headquarters:
Bargain Mad
Ipswich
Suffolk
IP3

And ... they're using a fake Data Protection registration number.

And ... the domain registration address. The postcode doesnt relate to the road address.

And ... I would just walk away very quickly.

On royalmail.com the postcode corresponds with the address,so i'mnot sure what you mean above ^^^

no way. VISA is far safer than paypal. I could set up a website now that takes paypal.

UPDATE EVERYONE:
i contacted paypal and they said:

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Mr/Ms *******, I am sorry as I am unable to confirm the position of the said
website.

However, please be advised that it is safe to send payments using PayPal
due to Buyer Protection.

Since you will pay for your item using PayPal but on a site other than
eBay, please open a dispute on the PayPal website.

PayPal Buyer Protection applies to items that are not received and to the
quality of goods received, and applies only to items purchased on a
merchant's website and not on eBay.

Note: To ensure you are eligible you must:

• Ensure the claim is for tangible, physical goods that can be posted and
are not prohibited by PayPal
• File a dispute in the ‘Resolution Centre’ within 45 days of the payment.
If the dispute can't be resolved, ask PayPal to investigate by escalating
the dispute to a claim within 20 days of the date the dispute was opened
• Be willing to provide information during the investigation process. If we
are unable to obtain the necessary information, the case may be cancelled
without a refund
• Only open one dispute per PayPal payment

You can read the full terms and conditions by reviewing the User Agreement,
you can access this by clicking the ‘Legal Agreements’ link at the bottom
of any PayPal page.

I hope this information helps you. Should you have any further inquiries,
please don't hesitate to get in-touch with us.

Thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely,
Neza
