No, not allowed.

former cable thief?

no point selling it anyways, cos Nagra3 wipes all clean and gets rid of those not paying for services.

any toss about using it to get FTA channels is just an excuse, cos Virgin don't offer a free to air service, you wanna use their cable TV lines, you PAY.
simple as.

yes it is, and its is currently being rolled out, making all cable thieves have to pay for services.
Leeds and a lot of Yorkshire is done, N.Ireland done, parts of Scotland done.
so its OK to steal, when its cable tv?

whats self pretentious?
something you just made up?

I have a life, I just don't like cable thieves, I used to work for one.
he got fined £40,000 by Virgin Media for selling boxes, his business went down the tube and I got made redundant, along with 2 others, cos of him.

So you worked for him and knew he was doing this, were you the one who reported him? so what are you complaing about, the fact he sold boxes or the fact you got fired and dont like it.

no one knew he was doing them. it was a PC repair shop owned by him and his younger brother.
he was ordering the boxes to his house, then coming back after closing time and flashing them to get all the channels, then going selling them round the pubs.

even his brother didnt know.

nope it wasnt me who reported him. apparently from the police report, someone got caught with one and grassed him up.

shop got raided, we all spent a night in the cells, it went to civil court after Virgin took over from Telewest and they prosecuted him for £40,000, 300hrs community service and 12months suspended for 12 months.

me and another technician got made redundant cos they needed to downsize the business.
thanks for 4 years, goodbye.

is what it is, but it was 2 years ago.

I just don't agree with stealing cable services cos it puts the prices up for people who do pay.
but Nagra3 will get rid of them all by the end of the year

Starview - if a free to air receiver and sold as such, then it's ok.

Cable boxes usually remain the property of the provider.
