i used it on all of mine 2! did buy a little pot of cream from the tattoo parlour was about £4 and it shines up my others 2 :-D

Hemriod cream (Preparation H) worked wonders on my last 2 tattoos, give that a go.

I used tattoo goo before it and found the Prep H healed a lot quicker on my last 2

Looks good, will look even better when finished I would imagine.

Upon Googling there are mixed reviews, some say don't use it some say it's fine like this one as long as you don''t put too much on !

On the second day, you may put some cream on your new tattoo. Forbidden Pain recommends ‘Preparation H’ (a cream normally used for haemorrhoids, which is apparently fantastic for new tattoos), Savlon Antiseptic Cream, or Sudocream – all of which are available over the counter at any chemists. Do not be tempted to try out any other type of cream – moisturiser, Vaseline, cocoa butter, double-whipped, or single - on your tattoo, as it will effect the colour.

Tattoo pain is good pain though... my mate is after his own tattoo gun, but we've already though ahead and said its a bad idea. Alcohol + having a tattoo gun = no no

I had my first tat done when i was hammered.............the blood. lol

Now have 7 or 8 and i enjoy having them done but there are areas that certainly sting a little.

It's not.........at first it's a bit like a bee sting when they start but after a few mins you don't notice except for the odd twinge or itch. :-D They are addictive.

It can sometimes be very relaxing like getting a massage, I've fallen asleep when getting my arms done. Your end up sort of comfortably numb.

Although some areas are a killer. My 1st was on my stomach and trying to control my breathing and stopping my stomach tensing was hard for the 1st 40 minutes.

I'm getting another on my back in couple of weeks and think I'll end up snoozing during it

Savlon is fine, germaline works well aswel, and it can help take the itch out of it as it has a little anesthetic. I use a cream called aveeno and thats ace. I've been tattooing for 3yrs now, personally I wouldn't recommend using prep H as it leaves a film on it and can stop it breathing, and never use anything like vaseline as it traps the dirt in, but to be honest different creams work for different people. Just if u have any kind of reaction stop using and dont use anything for a day or so, and make sure u wash it in between applications with mild soap and tepid water and it should heal a treat :)
