who has your bank details ?
#2
No, although they might be able to determine the area you live in if your sort code is for a local branch.
#3
pm me your details and I will try to find out:thumbsup:
#4
nope, it would be a data protection issue.

as stated anyone can find out where your branch is ..but as my learned colleague stated there would be a data protection issue to give out your home address

Many people retain their existing accounts despite moving many miles away. If someone owes you a large sum, surely you have more meaningful info than just a bank account ?

Pay a tracing agent to make enquiries. I have a particular company who do an "ask no questions" search and it works nine times out of ten.

As I said, if it is a large sum of money get a tracing agent involved. With the sort code it should narrow down the area and as long as they arent called John Smith, or something along those lines, you might be successful.

My sort code is for Yeovil, Somerset. I live in Newcastle. It means nothing,

Don't take this advise if you don't want as this is only what I've heard but where I live there a coppers who would (apparently) take a bit of cash to do some tracing or you.

Not my fault if you get locked up for bribery though.

Has a crime been commited (fraud etc) or is it purely a civil matter?

If someone owes you money and by not paying it back they are effectively stealing from you, can't you just go to the police?

If you sent a letter to the bank in question and told them what the problem is, they might forward a letter on to the account holder. The threat of your going to the police might be enough to make them pay...

It depends how the money is owed and what happened. So everyone who has defaulted on debt is a criminal now are they, ofc not it's a civil matter and dealt with through the county courts.

"i would like to know if its possible if some one who has your account details could find out your home address?"

Do you have there name ?
I have software that can list all the folk on an electoral roll for the year 2009 . Wont have everyone one on it ...................they might have moved for instance .It can even pinpoint the street on a map .So, if you know their name and the area in which they lived it might be worth a try .
PM me with details .

No, you need address and DOB etc.

I think it would be hard to do, but the posters suggesting hiring a tracing agent may be your best bet.

I have and still do occasionaly work with tracing agents and you would be surprised how easy you can track down some people with only a small amount of info.
