its about the same price for just the burger and chips so you might aswell get the drink imho

If your a student you can get a bigmac + fries for £1.99
OR
if you buy the value meal you get a free mcflurry - works both ways really.

I always get a double cheesburger and medium fries from the poundsaver menu, then walk to Starbucks and get a venti white moca.

Not really a fan of soft drinks. :-D

I get the kids meal- they have entertaining toys and it's enough food really. I made the discovery that you get four nuggets (99p on the menu) if you order a nugget meal, which is better value than the hamburger (69p on the menu) kids meal.

I did think about posting this as a hot deal... but the food is almost never 'hot'.

or if your friend who used to work at Mcdonalds 'gives' you an employee discount card you can get the meal for £1.99 aswell. I mean :whistling:

also what student card gets you the meal at that price?

Hahahahaha :-D

This is a funny thread. After my weekend, I needed a laugh so thanks very much !!

But back to your question, I'd probably go with the drink as for me, using 'real' coke with McDonalds food is just not right. I've got to have the 'burger that doesnt taste much like a burger' and oil soaked chips washed down with almost flat, totally under flavoured coke, just to complete my meal experience and remind me why I don't eat there often :-D

I thought I was the only one who did that, 4 nuggets, fries (though i usually swap for a fruit bag) and a drink for £1.99 and a toy for my nephew (unless it's a good one and he doesn't get a look in)

Some branches are charging more for nuggets though, I have been caught out.

EDIT: that reminds me, 4 nuggets are 99p and 6 are £1.99 - good job most McDonalds customers aren't good at maths lol

So true. Every now and then you get one that fires a plastic projectile of some sort and they're just too fun, i mean dangerous, to give to a little one. :giggle:

Why not get a drink?

Its the only digestible part of the "meal"
