So you want a seller to send their items to you, without getting paid until you get the item/and or happy with the item.

How many proper retailers perform that miracle?

Playtrade is pretty good and does come with some kind of guarantee.....but as I understand it you can only claim 3 times on this and then I think play stops you using play trade sellers. Recently I bought a cd and the case was smashed to bits....cd was ok but if this had been play I would have asked for a replacment case (as typically had just freecycled all old cases the week before) but I was ignored by the playtrade seller (who clearly was a business as they sold in volume on play) so the only way to procede would have been to put in a claim but as I planned on using playtrade a lot I didnt want to use one of my 3 lives.

None, and it wont happen on PlayTrade either. You have to pay first, the seller doesnt get the money released to them until they dispatch the goods, which they have to explicitly state on the order on the system and include a reference/tracking number.

So basically after you receive the item you can easily say "Haven't received" and have the goods and the money.

I have brought 2 items on there and both came within 3 days. There are many trustworthy people in the world its just the 0.5% that spoil it for everyone.

I have had a refund more than 3 times and no one has stopped me, I buy a lot from Play and Playtrade (over 500 items and counting), most people can be trusted on there

You dont have to include a tracking number, its optional. You can still get the money without posting anything.

Used playtrade just before Christmas with no problems.

I have used playtrade loads, only ever not recieved the item once and got a full refund! A lot of the sellers are quite efficient and you get your product very quickly.

Useless. Was sent counterfeit goods. Play told me to contact the seller. He asked me to return them which I did via recorded delivery. A month later I have no goods and no refund. Play are hopeless and their website will not allow me to submit a guarantee. When I speak to them on the phone they promise a refund and yet nothing arises. They keep sending me the same email telling me to contact the seller and submit a guarantee (now had more than 10 times). Personally, I'm close to starting legal action but I would avoid like the plague.
