Is there a good device out there for ipod to car cd player

hi people i want a good device maybe itrip etc for my astra. Ive got a ipod touch but dont want to be messing about touching screen when driving.dont want to be changing cd player.any one which could give me advice on something that would work.thanks

I can tell you one that isnt, the Griffin iTrip. Very distorted.

iTrips are very low powered so the reception is not great I used a roadTrip for a while which was slightly better.

What kind of head unit is it?

I have a Harmann Kardon Drive + Play somewhere BNIB if you can be bothered wiring it in.

No its an add-on

Can either be wired to the head units aux input or hard wired to the FM input

EDIT: may not be compatible with the touch now I think about it

I have a Belkin one... Unlike the iTrip it doesn't use the battery from your iPod, it runs off the cig lighter. It's perfectly clear and always has signal.

get a brodit mount for it and a decent fm transmitter that charges it Ive got the dlo transdock.

i have a belkin one also...and judging by reviews and my experience... id stay well away from the FM transmitters if possible, quality is poor

Does your car cd player have an aux in socket on the back of it? What car do you have

i have sri astra 08, it has aux where the handbrake is but it mean i still need to touch the screen everytime iwant to skip is there anything like a remote to change it etc?
