Hi
Just got a new netbook and it is full of programs, alot of which are probably rubbish.
Is there a program or a list that you can find out what they all do and whether it is safe to remove it.
Thanks

from another angle, this program has a list of various superfluous software and makes it easy to remove it via just ticking the list

also want to check the anti virus installed, it will likely be a trial, remove it and put microsoft security essentials on, works well on netbooks

lots of stuff is confusing, but best left, it will be stuff for the wifi, power saving software, touchpad thingy, sound stuff

Thanks thats the sort of thing I am after. I have removed McaFee(not sure spelt that correctly) and installed AVG which is supposed to run better on my netbook.
I had googled a few of them but to be honest unless you really understand the technical stuff although they say what they are they dont let you know how important they are so i have been too scared to remove the stuff.

Thanks to both of you for your help, rep given.

for anti vius id check out microsoft security essentials-outperforms pretty much all the current AV's, is free and very light so perfect for a netbook
