You usually get software with your MP3 player but if you didn't you can download Microsoft media player.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology=

That will let you edit track details and has some excellent features. If you insert a cd to convert (rip) the cd tracks to mp3 it will automatically fill in the details of the tracks by connecting to web databases.

Yes MusicMatch does that very well, it even gives the files a small picture so that this can be displayed on your player (if supported.

Album Art Fixer scans your music folder, highlighting any files that have incorrect or missing info (Tags) and scans for album art if needed.

Not used it recently, but did in the past and it worked well.

I would steer well clear of the latest version of MusicMatch (or Yahoo! Music Jukebox as it's now known), Yahoo have butchered it. The forums are full of people moaning about all the missing features and new pricing for what used to be free.

I used it quite a few years ago when it came with my archos and loved it, I suppose you could get a cheap second hand version of that. Things have moved on very quickly over the years and there are I guess much better, quicker and cheaper options. If musicmatch has changed so much then I suppose you should steer clear of the new versions then.
