My Mum wants a sat nav and i have no clue. Is there any difference between the cheap and expensive ones? or is it just a name that you are paying for?
Many thanks

i think its more to do with the map updates you can get, always think aftersales support with SATNAV

I have a cheap garmin - and it cost me about £90 couple of years ago - its so easy to use as basic - but I only wanted something easy to use.

My friend has a tom tom and I used it one day as left mines in Orkney.................and as it was so full of all sorts of fancy features I just couldnt work it!!!!!

i bought a seriously cheapo effort from ebay several years ago now, still running strong, like alfonse said, its the support/upgrades for maps that you wanna be checking for , imho
