Never realised before how much time/effort goes into moderating on there!

Ive got an extension that auto refreshes, be nice if it could alert me to any change (ie posts pending)

You should see Autorefresh under tools.

I'm using Avant though. It gives the ability to autorefresh at a set time. Might be worth installing it if it is not in Firefox or IE.

Just checked Firefox, but it does not have it.

was just going to post that https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115. I haven't used it as I was worried it might log me out on a secure website etc

ON HUKD, you have to tie a site specific auto refresh it to your subscribed posts otherwise it would be changing every few seconds.

No idea, sorry, but would like to say 'Well done' - good place to be moderating.

Thats the one im using too, it works fine on sites where you want to stay logged in, if you then browse to another site it refreshes the page that the particular tab you have set to refresh is on. Works on here fine too as ive got this tab to autorefresh to check for replies.

Yeah its good to give something back, ive had stuff from there thats been great and also gotten rid of stuff that isnt particularly saleable but too good to give away like 28" and 30" CRT TV's. Only thing is now I dont feel comfortable requesting stuff people have offered as it may be seen as taking advantage, did ban someone the other day though as I saw his stall on the flea market with a dining table and chairs and a couple of settee's that had been offered on there when genuine people are wanting those.

As daft as it sounds the best thing ive had was a paper log maker to recycle newspapers into paper briquettes for the coal fire, its cut our coal usage in half!

Reminds me of my pc keyboard most of the letters have worn away, its a great keyboard for a touch typist though:whistling: Ive got several brand new keyboards but never seem to get around to replacing it.

Could you just open the browser twice and run the refresh on one of them?

I think that if you just go on as before then you'll soon feel comfortable again. Participating is what got you the moderating position, I presume, so best to go on as before. Some people like the market trader you mention have no shame.
Costing you a fortune in newspapers though!! :whistling:

You can use the autoreload on a single tab so thats not a problem.

Well I've installed it & still fiddling with the default times. Like the way you can set different tabs for different times. It is weird though when you see your cursor jump as the tab auto reloads. My F5 is saved:p

Thats the beauty of public transport, myself and my partner use buses almost daily and we grab a copy of the metro anyway, plus neighbours and family/friends save their papers too! I cant recommend them enough one briquette lasts about 3 hours and uses approx 1 1/2 papers.

I only buy a paper once a week and thats the Derbyshire Crimes errm I mean Times:whistling:

Disable it when you are typing a reply! It took me ages to work out why my text kept deleting itself! Thats the only downside! When typing a reply I usualy right click the reply box and open in a new tab!
