Is this a faulty screen or?

Bought a screen on ebay to replace one on my partners brothers laptop. When i initially fitted it, it worked fine. Returned laptop to him, now only couple weeks later he has sent it back with the screen showing as like a negative? effect. it certainly isnt looking right thats for sure. It works fine on an external screen so i think the graphic drivers etc are ok. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows what it is. i have already mailed the ebay seller asking for replacement as i think its probably that, but the more input i get the better.

Just a heads up, but you've got 45 days to return it to the seller if you believe it to be faulty, and they've GOT to refund you if you return it to them, even if it turns out not to be faulty. They've had the item back so you get your money back. Fleabay always find in favour of the buyer unless there's been some deliberate damage to the item.

no damage at all, its been less than 30days so im happy to have a replacement, if not, i'll go the dispute route. Dont think i'm being unreasonable.

I don't think you're being unreasonable either. Perhaps try sending the seller a message first to politely inform them that there's a fault and you'll be happy to accept a replacement. I think any honest seller would be happy to resolve any issues with you, and if you get no joy or abuse, just return the item to the seller (recorded, of course) and they've got to issue you a refund. But I expect most good sellers will be happy to help.

Unless the seller rejects delivery like what happened with me when I bought a motherboard and paypal closed claim saying the tracking number said undelivered even though I won the actual case.
