Would say that you could do it cheaper, sky pay once watch forever £75, hd box £100 or so.

That way you get more sky I think as it's 4 months not 2 like here. (more features on this one but for half the time)

Not really, you can get a Sky HD box for less than £50 now with a subscription and without the subscription you can't use any of the features of the HD box (can't record or get HD channels) so you might as well just get freesat or freeview which is cheaper.

You can still get hd channels (free ones) without subscribing.

Good point, hmmm maybe it is not that bad. You could get it and pay £10 a month for the recording features, still seems a rather high premium for 2 HD channels.

Isn't the £10 a month on top of a subscription? Can you pay it seperately? Either way £10 a month just to be able to record seems expensive!

As I said earlier, get the bits seperately and it's cheaper.

Sky took the decision to waive the £10 a month charge for using the recording features for people subscribing to their viewing packages a few years ago.

I think they are cheeky in this way, I wanted to get a freesat card and lose my sky plus subscription after a year but you have to pay the fee for the recording features if you want to keep them.

The (other) £10 a month on top of the subscription is for the HD package.
