lol i don't think thats the main reason you can tell its a scam!
#32
no this is not a scam, you really have won half a million from a lottery you never entered
#33
What makes you think it's a scam ?
Looks really legit to me :-)
#34
Excellent, I have just received an identical mail. So it looks like we are the joint winners!!!:gift:
Seriously, I hope the OP has now realised that it is just a big scam, often originating in Nigeria ( I am not sure why, though). Just google for 'lottery scam'.
I receive them almost every day, I think since a friend of mine from India forwarded me one to investigate.
Watch out for the 'Bank security scams' (phishing) as well, they often appear very legit.
#35
some of you guys are quite rude?? i have never recieved an email like that before and i was just asking peoples opinoin i wasnt expecting some of the replys i got. no, im not really sharp! thanks for pointing it out :'(
#36
Dont worry about it m8, some people seem to forget we all have to learn from somewhere, you are not the first and wont be the last to look @ scams like this and think is it genuine or not, just look @ the news and see how many poeple fall for these scams (even people you would think wouldnt) some of these scams are better then other's but a major give away was the yack number +44-70457-49648
and the fact that someone as big as the lottery was using a free email account, best bet is when you get emails like this copy and paste the title into google as i no there is a site (cant remember the url) that list all scams like this ,

or apply the following 2 rules:
1. what appears too got to be true just is exactly that
2. if you don't play the lottery you won't win it
