Is this actually a computer...

Hi guys, this seems too cheap to be true, even if it is second hand. I dislike Dell but for the price and how long the warranty is I would love to buy this computer as a spare...

It's this computer here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Factory-Refurbished-Warranty-Desktop-Bluetooth/dp/B002KAQ33G/ref=sr_1_42?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1266689009&sr=1-42

Call me a noob but is this the full system as it sounds like it is but I do not see how such a good system could sell for so little lol, Amazon confuses me so much, is everything in the title inside that computer, is it a full computer and not just a case?

Thanks anyone who can help me Amazon really drives me insane sometimes lol

Edit, sorry do not know how to make it a link on here

I am such a noob just realised that lmao

Np................better to ask and slow down than be trigger or rather mouse click happy buyer.
#4
yeah lol no motherboard or hdd. so £135 for a case and cpu/ram used.
not so good to be true now :p
#5
.....this would have been a fantastic deal, but the refurbished one is £550 and the one that is only £135 has no drives or motherboard. Will cost you a lot to get the missing bits. Shame I to would have bought a one of these at that price. Keep your eye on tescos end of range comps, you can grab a bargin there.

haha I feel like an idiot, it always tricks me I should of known to watch out for this I hate the way amazon is set out...

that is still quite good for what you get especially with a 3 year warranty though I did see a motherboard/4gb ram and a good cpu bundle on ebay for £152 brand new another one similar with 2gb ram for £120 brand new...

Do you think paying £30 more for another 2gb ram is worth it?

Been looking at some of them, not bad deals, though I am only considering it as a second computer so it only needs to be basic, not slow but not amazing spec.

I actually have a power supply and graphics card spare, possibly a case but if buying a new computer is not much more I would be willing to.

I'd report that to amazon, it's really misleading, I don't think it even has the ram and CPU with it.

I was thinking the same thing, I mean it isn't 100% clear what is included lol. Even though I feel stupid for posting it here and then noticing that it wasn't the full pc I am glad I did lol

I picked up an Acer M3641, Intel core 2 Quad Q6600, 3GB ram, 500GB hd, Blueray/HD/DVD/CD WR combi drive for only £175. Had everything but the monitor, but I had one of those anyway. Like you was just for a second comp. Its not major spec, but good enough with a couple of upgrades like the graphics card?

That is twice as good a spec I would want for a secondary pc but that is very cheap, I don't need another monitor either.

Were did you get this if you don't mind me asking?

I've reported, I think you should aswell, more the better, it's listed as the full spec, then that tiny comment, I recon amazon would side with you if you bought it and then found that.

Is it their fault though, I mean from selling on amazon I have seen you have no say over the title, pic etc, so to me the main page is amazon's doing, which is misleading because you think it is the full pc until you click on used and then read the comments, but that is how it always is on amazon, and I always make this mistake! lol
#12
Hmm, well I think I will leave it, although it is misleading, I do not think it can be helped, as he can not just list on amazon and if someone really was going to buy it they would notice or should notice the comment before finalization...plus I do not know how to report someone haha

It was from the rugby tescos, just need to keep a look out for them

That seems too good man, was it brand new lol, I recently upgraded my main pc to a quad core and a new motherboard and those 2 parts alone cost me around £150 so the deal you got is blood fantastic!

I always check in tesco too to always be dissapointed by the prices lol I never find anything good in there :( but hopefully I will one day lol

Thanks.

I'm really not sure, I wish I could help more but I am clueless too, since replacing my computer I get freezes on games randomly, it could happen in a day, 1 hour, 1 month, it's driving me crazy as I do not know what is causing it, the random time-frame of it is just beyond me, it makes no sense.

There both good cards if you ask me, I honestly don't know which is better but I am sure someone will come along anid tell you.

Was trying to find my card on the site I got it from but looks like it has gone now.

.... thankyou for the info and help, will ask around as i kinda like them both and not badly priced either

cheers

Your welcome, sorry I could not help more, like you I am clueless when it comes to how good a part is especially compared to another part, I got a lot of help off forums. Hopefully you can too.
