not much difference apart from the argos is a sony vaio and new but the 2nd is a refurb but £140 cheaper.

Thats not really a reason to say no, Majority of new laptops /desktops will have Vista on them now, so its a case of like it or downgrade to XP,

I tend to find Sony's overpriced but they do seem to be high quality, Well the ones i have dealt with in work are anyway!
It's a reasonable price for a (I think) discontinued Sony. Probably only worth the money though if you must have a Sony. You should be able to get a similar spec non-Sony laptop elsewhere cheaper.

What a ridiculous comment! What alternatives are there? Microsoft won't let companies stick XP on such a machine, few people would buy such a machine with a Linux distro... :roll:
also id try or keep a look out for dell. They have one if not the best customer service for repairing or parts etc and if you watch on here theres sometimes some good deals
